  A Weekend in Baños

Saturday: We started from the Terminal Quitumbe and went south for 3 hours before we arrived in Baños. There we visited the Church Agua Santa where people were praying and encountered a nice little beautiful garden inside that looked like a museum. Afterwards we booked a tour for 5 $ at one of the local agencies to visit the Cascadas (several waterfalls).

We got up early, ate breakfast and went to the agency to start our trip to the Cascadas. From there we drove through the scenic route of the waterfalls (Ruta de las Cascadas), which offered us a great view of all the different waterfalls. The whole tour takes 3 hours to complete. At the end, we visited the most beautiful and impressive of all the waterfalls called Pailón del Diablo.

The journey back to Quito took us 4 hours during which we were able to enjoy views of the volcanos Tungurahua and Cotopaxi !
